Steps to get your home For Sale Ready!

  • First and possibly the most important would be the curb appeal. If potential buyers pull up to your home and the outside does not speak to them or even worse, looks like a project where they will have to spend more money, they may not give the home a chance.

  • Preform any repairs that are deemed necessary. If prospective buyers see lots of things that need repair they may believe the home was not well taken care of in the first place.     • Simple fixes such as window screens, broken blinds, missing handles on cabinets, and leaky faucets.

    • Cover all those pesky holes from hanging picture frames and holiday decor with some Spackle and a fresh coat of paint. This will give a clean slate for new buyers.

    • Check/replace your A/C filters.

  • Have service records readily available. Prospective buyers may have questions on recent service done to the home. This will save you hassle later trying to find them in your moving boxes.

  • Make sure all appliances (especially if they are included in the sale) are deep cleaned. Nobody wants to see what was for dinner last week.

  • If there is clutter and knickknacks everywhere the home wont look like there isn’t room for growth for the new family. Another Minimize the amount of clothing in your closet as it will make them look more spacious and more desirable to home buyers.
